Survival and Feeding Responses <I>of Anacanthotermes ochraceus</I> (Hodotermitidae: Isoptera) to Local and Imported Wood

Abstract: Forty-six local and imported wood were tested for resistance to feeding damage by the termite Anacanthotermes ochraceus (Burmeister), the most dominant species in the United Arab Emirates and the Arab Gulf region. Wood was used for construction, wall paneling, and furniture. Wood was evaluated in a 4-wk forced feeding bioassay.
