“…It is interesting that EPL rates did not differ statistically among women over 35 years old. On the other hand, the sample size that achieved singleton [19][20]. It may be also questioned that poor ovarian responder patients in the antagonist arm may increase EPL; however, we have shown that poor ovarian response is not a risk factor for increased EPL [21].…”

“…On the other hand, in numerous reports, clinical pregnancy was defined as the demonstration of fetal cardiac activity in which gestational sacs with yolk sacs without heartbeats were ignored although they have been recognized clinically. In other words, 8.5% of clinically identified gestations by sonography were considered somehow as preclinical pregnancy loss because they did not show viability later (24,25). However, our series exclusively consisted of subclinical pregnancies without any evidence of sonographic findings.…”

“…La Sala et al (6) found age to be a significant factor only in IVF pregnancies resulting from conventional fertilization but not in those after ICSI. Interestingly, Ulug et al (5) failed to show any significant effect of age on loss with multiple pregnancies. Ulug et al (5) performed a retrospective analysis of 1,448 multiple pregnancies after IVF with ICSI and did not find a significant association between age and loss rate for multiple pregnancies.…”

Ulug et al (5) performed a retrospective analysis of 1,448 multiple pregnancies after IVF with ICSI and did not find a significant association between age and loss rate for multiple pregnancies. However, they showed a significantly higher chance of spontaneous reduction to a twin or singleton pregnancy for a triplet pregnancy (11.7%) compared with a quadruplet pregnancy (3.5%).…”
