Abstract

Susceptibility of high flow drippers coupled to the Central Pivot irrigation systemThe use of irrigation has become increasingly popular among farmers in order to increase crop yields, but this practice may present honeations to the irrigator, which in turn needs to seek more and more irrigation systems that can be efficient and with low cost of operation. One system that has drawn attention is Mobile Drip Irrigation (IRGMO), this method uses the junction of two known systems, the drip (marked by great efficiency in water use) and the central pivot (marked by its versatility), in summary, the system relies on the exchange of sprinklers of the central pivot, by drip lines, which are dragged on the ground from the pivot movement, thus the occurrence of evaporation, drift to wind and surface flow (situation that can occur in the sperage) is reduced, even with flow emitters greater than 4 L.h-¹. However, there is still little information about the drag of leakers over the soil and expected characteristics for external damage, in addition to information on the need for filtering for this system and obstruction of the emitters.
