“…Inoculation of metals-tolerant plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) is gaining importance currently, to overcome the damaging effects of heavy metals [ 12 , 29 ]. Secretions of phytohormones and growth regulators, i.e., siderophores, indole acetic acid, and gibberellins by certain PGPR improve the uptake of nutrients, root length, chlorophyll contents [ 30 , 31 , 32 , 33 ]. Inoculation of ACC deaminase (ACCD)-producing PGPR also decreases the stress ethylene by breaking it into ammonia and α-ketobutyrate [ 12 , 24 , 34 , 35 , 36 , 37 , 38 ].…”

“…During the current pandemic, food production has been threatened due to the limited imports of agro-inputs, particularly nitrogenized fertilizers from China, also due to the closure of international markets. Thus, the use of MPCV has been highlighted as an important strategy in sustainable agriculture, since these microorganisms have the ability to increase crop yields (~ 10-30%), with a lower dependency on agro-inputs, hence reducing the economic and environmental cost of agricultural production (Parewa et al, 2018). Therefore, the bioprospection of the microbiota present in agroecosystems for the production of biofertilizers and biopesticides is a sustainable alternative to guarantee food security, even under the diverse scenarios previously presented in this pandemic.…”

“…There is a growing interest in the ideas of reducing the use of chemicals to protect plant health and reduce production costs. Therefore, the use of bacteria (PGPR) located in the root rhizosphere of plants in agricultural production is increasing in day by day [10][11][12][13].…”

“…Also, they have used used to prevent or decrease indirectly the detrimental effects of phytopathogens by colonizing in their phyllosphere or rhizosphere [15]. To reduce negative environmental effects by resulting from continuous, use of chemical fertilizers and to improve the physicochemical properties of the growing medium PGPR inoculation may be utilized [13,14]. There are few studies on the use of PGPRs in ornamental plant cultivation [16][17][18].…”
