Abstract:A green, environment-friendly, inexpensive non-modified biochar was employed for removal of unparalleled pH sensitive cationic and anionic dyes from wastewater.
“…At simultaneously, the deprotonation of the hydroxyl and carboxyl functional groups released more adsorption sites, and electrostatic attraction between the negative charges on the activated carbon-surface and the dye cations was generated, facilitating the adsorption of MB. 33,34…”

As illustrated in Fig.…”

“…Essentially, the pHpzc value of an adsorbent indicates the pH at which the adsorbent surface has no net charge. 41 When the number of positive and negative charges are equal, an adsorbent's surface reaches a zero point of charge (PZC), meaning it has no preference for attracting either positively or negatively charged substances. To determine the PZC, pH initial vs pH final plot is done and the point of intersection is identified, which is 7.1 in Fig.…”
MgAl LDH/Zn-MOF S-scheme heterojunction exhibits superior photocatalytic activity for H2 evolution, methyl red dye removal and CO2 adsorption due to increased light absorption, high surface area, good stability and recyclability.
“…It is widely used in a number of different applications, especially the adsorption of pollutants from aqueous solutions. 79 The Elovich model exhibited practical suitability in tting the kinetic experimental data for Pb 2+ and MB (R 2 = 0.996 and 0.991, respectively) (Fig. S3(a) †).…”
Shorea faguetiana biochar was functionalized with Fe2O3 and MXene, resulting in composites (designated Fe2O3/BC/MXene) that efficiently, rapidly, and selectively adsorbed Pb2+ and the dye methyl blue from wastewater.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
