Abstract:This study presents the synthesis of sustainable urethane coatings derived from alkyds of Camelina oil (CO) monoglycerides, offering a sustainable alternative to petrochemical resources. Utilizing immobilized lipase for a low‐temperature glycerolysis reaction, high‐yield monoglycerides were obtained from CO. These were then reacted with dibasic acids (phthalic, succinic, and maleic anhydride) to produce alkyd diols, confirmed by both nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectr… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
