SVND Enhanced Metaheuristic for Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle Routing Problem

Abstract: Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs), as a new type of environmental-friendly low cost transportation, have attracted growing interests for logistics. The path-planning optimization for PHEV has become a major challenge. In fact, PHEV-based routing optimization is a type of hybrid vehicle routing problem (HVRP). Compared with the traditional Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) and Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP), the PHEV routing problem should consider more constraints, such as time limits, capacity constraint… Show more

“…For efficiently solving the proposed model, they design an Improved Particle Swarm Algorithm (IPSO) in which a labeling procedure is involved. Li et al [155] proposed a new hybrid optimization algorithm merging the memetic algorithm and the sequential variable neighborhood descent to solve PHE-VRP. Bahrami et al [156] presented a model which is distinguished from the literature problems in considering different rates of emission for two sources of energy, and the total energy consumption minimization.…”

“…More specifically, constraints ( 7) and ( 13) ensure the flow conservation for ICVs and EVs, respectively. Constraint (8) implies that each satellite can be visited more than once by ICVs. Constraints ( 9) and (15) promise that the loading cannot exceed the capacities of ICV and EV, respectively.…”
