Swing Characteristics and Vibration Feature of Tower Cranes under Compound Working Condition

Abstract: The swing behaviour of tower cranes under compound working conditions is closely related to construction safety and structural health. This paper presents dynamic models and simulated them for parameter analysis to understand tower cranes’ dynamic characteristics and vibration features under compound working conditions. The parameters contain payload mass, rope length, lifting acceleration, slewing acceleration, luffing acceleration, and initial angle. For the lifting-luffing coupling motion (LLCM) and lifting… Show more

“…Its novelty lies in the fact that the analysis ensures the detection of deficiencies even before the installation of components on the crane structure. F. Liu et al (2021) determined the oscillation and oscillation characteristics of a tower crane. They proved that the mass of the load has little effect on the spatial angle of slewing during the lifting and tilting motion and that the intensity of the change in the angle of rotation increases with the height of the tower crane.…”

“…The increase in requirements for the quality of loading and unloading processes has caused the expansion of the methodological tools of researchers in the construction of mathematical models of crane systems. At the same time, as noted in the study [9], the large-scale, fast, and modular development of tower cranes has brought significant problems of construction safety in difficult working conditions. The study simulates changes in the rotation angle.…”

“…Pears will inevitably be damaged by vibration in transportation, then the scholars have made a study on this. A shaking table was applied to simulate transportation conditions and the damage caused by vibration and the change in its viscoelasticity during transportation were studied (Liu et al, 2016a). Cao et al (2017) studied the vibration characteristics of pear under the regular vibration system, then the influence of vibration parameters such as vibration acceleration and vibration frequency on pear damage were drawn.…”
