Abstract:Functionally graded (FG) composites reinforced by carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have received extensive attention due to their excellent mechanical properties. The impact responses of FG‐CNT nanocomposites are analyzed by the developed meshless method. The temperature‐dependent material properties are expressed by way of the extended rule of mixture. The kinematics of the composite plate is established on the basis of the first‐order shear deformation theory. The modified Hertzian contact law is adopted to evaluate … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
