Synchrogenverter — Hybrid generation system

Abstract: The paper describes new topology of a generation system that consists of wound rotor synchronous generator and parallel connected power electronic converter. The wound rotor synchronous generator operates as AC voltage source whereas the power electronic converter as fully controllable current source. The converter with embedded energy storage delivers active and reactive power.
