The extraction of amoxicillin (AMX) from aqueous solutions by emulsion liquid membranes (ELMs) was investigated for the first time. The liquid membrane phase of the ELM consisted of Aliquat 336 as carrier, Span 80 as surfactant, n‐hexane as diluent, and sodium chloride solution as internal phase. Response surface methodology (RSM) based on central composite design (CCD) was applied to evaluate and optimize the effects of several parameters such as carrier concentration, feed concentration, internal phase concentration, and treat ratio (volume ratio of the external phase to the emulsion phase). A polynomial model was fitted to predict the extraction yield of AMX. Under optimized conditions, the highest extraction yield of AMX was 99.8 %.

A new compound, α‐aminophosphonate derivative containing pyridine ring (PPDE), was designed and synthesized as an extractant for the separation of nickel from metal impurities. Over 94.5% of Ni (II) extraction from sulfuric acid solution was achieved by using PPDE with an equilibrium pH of 4.02. Meanwhile, high separation coefficients of 23.8 for Ni to Co, 84.9 for Ni to Mn, 254.1 for Ni to Ca and 696.7 for Ni to Mg, respectively, were obtained. It was noted that PPDE exhibited an excellent regenerability, and the extraction of Ni with the recycled organic phase ranged from 92.5% to 93.9% during six circulations. The extracted nickel complex was determined as [Ni (PPDE)2(DNNSA−)2(H2O)4], which was supported by the data obtained from Fourier transform‐infrared, UV–Vis and electrospray ionization‐mass spectrometry spectra.

ABSTRAKTelah dilakukan ekstraksi konsentrat Nd(OH) 3 (neodimium hidroksida) yang mengandung Y(itrium), Sm (samarium) dan Pr (praseodimium) hasil olah pasir monasit. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk pemisahan Nd dari Y, Pr dan Sm dalam konsentrat Nd. Sebagai fasa air adalah konsentrat Nd(OH) 3 dalam HNO 3 dan ekstraktan atau fasa organik adalah Tri Butil Fosfat (TBP) dalam kerosen. Parameter yang diteliti adalah pH umpan, konsentrasi umpan, konsentrasi TBP dalam kerosen, waktu pengadukan dan kecepatan pengadukan. Dari hasil penelitian optimasi proses ekstraksi pemisahan neodimium dari samarium, itrium dan presedimium dalam konsentrat Nd ( ABSTRACT PENDAHULUANNeodimium termasuk unsur logam tanah jarang yang keberadaannya berlimpah setelah serium, yang dapat ditemukan dalam mineral monasit.
