Synovial Lipomatosis With Extra-articular Extension in the Arthritic Wrist

Abstract: Synovial lipomatosis is a rare condition characterized by adipocyte proliferation within joint synovial tissue. It most commonly affects the knee and is typically intra-articular. Only 5 published case reports describe extra-articular synovial lipomatosis of the wrist. We present a case of a sexagenarian patient seen for his wrist arthropathy.
