Abstract

Phosphorylcholine is obtained with a good yield when 1 mole of choline or choline chloride is heated with 0,5 to 0,6 mole of pyrophosphoric acid (or the corresponding amount of polyphosphoric acid) for 20 hours at 150" under reduced pressure.
