Synthesis of Tropanyl Esters of Halogen-Substituted Tropic AcidsSynthesis of halogenated analogues of atropine is described. Pharmacological investigations are not concluded; compounds la-c and 3 are less potent than atropine.

“…The effect of six kinds of commercial polyphosphates in preventing the oxidation of ascorbic acid and sodium ascorbate solutions in the presence of C U +~ was studied, and the polyphosphates were grouped in three classes according to their effectiveness (74). Nitroglycerin was stable only a t a pH <5 unless alcohol was in high concentration (75).…”

“…Acid Amides. The majority of investigations using this class of compounds as titrimetric solvents involved N,Ndimethylformamide (15,39,55,78,105,143,161,171,172,188,221,226,249,251,252,276,277,290,305,(328)(329)(330) and its ternary mixture with water and N-methylacetamide (239). Other solvents investigated in this class include pentamethylphosphoric diamide (191), tetramethylurea (5,54,124), formamide (4,70,231), 2-pyrrolidinone and its derivatives (41,98,167), and N,TV-dimethylacetamide (331).…”
