The relationship between flavonoid structure and antibacterial activity has also been examined by several researchers (Wang et al 1992;Tuncbilek et al 1999;Bozdag-Dundar et al 2003;Stapleton et al 2004). Wang et al (1992) complexed 5-hydroxy-7,4-dimethoxyflavone with Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Zn(II), Fe(III), Cr(III), Cd(II) and Mn(II), and showed that this process increases antibacterial activity.…”
