Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of 1,3,5‐Thiadiazines and Their Isomerism into 1,3,5‐Triazines.

Abstract

Thiadiazine derivativesThiadiazine derivatives R 0660 Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of 1,3,5-Thiadiazines and Their Isomerism into 1,3,5-Triazines. -A series of 2,6-diimino-4-aminothiadiazines (V) (7 examples) are synthesized, which suffer isomerization into triazines (VI) on treatment with NaOH in a H2O/EtOH solution. Screening of thiadiazines (V) for antimicrobial activity shows that compounds (Vc) and (Ve) are highly active against S. typhi and B. subtilis, whereas compounds (Vb) and (Vf) are highly active against A. niger. -(DEOHATE*, P.
