Synthesis and application of a novel core-shell-shell magnetic ion imprinted polymer as a selective adsorbent of trace amounts of silver ions

Abstract: Ion-imprinted polymer (IIP) technology has received considerable attention for its greatest potential application. In this work, a novel magnetic nano ion-imprinted polymer (MIIP) for the selective and sensitive pre-concentration of silver (I) ions were used. It was obtained using Fe3O4@SiO2@TiO2 nanoparticles as a magnetic support of adsorbent, Ag(I)-2,4-diamino-6-phenyl-1,3,5-triazine (DPT) complex as the template molecule and methacrylic acid (MAA), 2,2′-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN), ethylene glycol dimeth… Show more

“…The SGPT and SGOT values are not significantly different among the treatment, though the values slightly decrease as the inclusion of IZM increased, this is a clear indication that IZM is non-toxic to the animals. Therefore, the integrity of the kidney and other visceral organs are maintained [45][46][47].…”

“…Reported applications for cinnamic acid and its derivatives also include: preparation of herbicidal compositions; as a raw material in the synthesis of heterocyclic color complexes. One of the most interesting uses for cinnamic acid in recent years has been as a raw material in the preparation of L-phenylalanine the key intermediate for the aspartame [36] (synthetic dipeptide sweetener). More than 95% of the consumption of cinnamaldehyde occurs in flavor applications where a spicy, cinnamon character is required.…”
