Synthesis and characterization of a polymer–metal complex from bisphenol A polyhydroxy ether with sulfur‐bearing side‐groups

Abstract: A novel polymer–metal complex from bisphenol A polyhydroxy ether with dithiocarboxylic side‐groups was synthesized. The structure of the complex was characterized by elemental analysis and infrared and UV–vis spectroscopies. Because the dithiocarboxylic group possesses a strong chelating ability, it gives bisphenol A polyhydroxy ether some new properties such as coordination.
