Synthesis and characterization of new 1,4-dihydropyran derivatives by novel Ta-MOF nanostructures as reusable nanocatalyst with antimicrobial activity

Abstract: Novel Ta- MOF was synthesized under mild conditions by ultrasound irradiations. The sample was characterized by SEM, FTIR, XRD, XPS, TG and BET technique. The final structures showed high physicho-chemical properties including narrow particle size distribution, homogenous morphology, high thermal stability and remarkable surface area. Ta- MOF synthesized in this study was used as a catalyst in the synthesis of 1,4-dihydropyran derivatives. The results proved that it has a high catalyst capability. Its advantag… Show more

“…To 25 mL of double-distilled water, 1 mmol copper (II) chloride and 2 mmol of pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid were added and stirred for 15 min at 50 C to create a homogenized mixture. After cooling to room temperature, microwave radiation was irradiated at room temperature for 15 min with a power of 300 W ( Ahmad et al, 2022 ). With nanofiltration, copper metal–organic frameworks (Cu-MOFs) were separated and washed three times with ethanol and three times with ethanol and double-distilled water.…”

“…The absorptions observed in the FT-IR spectrum (Figure 4) near 655 cm −1 , 1,150 cm −1 , 1,420 cm −1 , 1710 cm −1 , and 2,900 cm −1 were related to Ti-O (Al-Amin et al, 2016), C-O (Alkhatami et al, 2023), C=C (Alkhatami et al, 2023), C=O (Akhavan-Sigari et al, 2022), and C-H (Ahmad et al, 2022), respectively. The BTB has three carboxylic acid groups, but the broad band due to O-H groups (near 3,200-3,500 cm−1) was not observed in the spectrum of the final product.…”

“…In a Pyrex tube, 30 mL double-distilled water, 0.835 g dipicolinic acid (5 mmol), and 0.915 g cobalt nitrate (5 mmol) were added. Other steps to the synthesis and purification of cobalt-containing MOF nanostructures were similar to copper-containing MOF nanostructures (Ahmad et al, 2022).…”
