Abstract: Ozonolysis of alkenes is known to produce reactive intermediates�stabilized Criegee intermediates (SCIs), and their subsequent bimolecular reactions with various carboxylic acids can form α-acyloxyalkyl hydroperoxides (AAHPs), which is considered a major class of organic peroxides in secondary organic aerosol (SOA).
