“…To elucidate the molecular interactions of both PEC and CH with MSNs, all films were also analyzed by the ATR-FT-IR ( Figure 2). The bands detected in the region below 1,000 cm -1 arose from inter-atomic vibrations, the bands around 832 and 400 cm −1 , being characteristic of the silanol groups (Si-OH), and being related to the Si-O stretching and deformation frequencies [21,22].
