Synthesis and characterization of poly(1‐benzoylsemicarbazide) and poly(1,3,4‐oxadiazole amine) from 2‐(p‐aminophenyl)‐1,3,4‐oxadizolin‐5‐one via ring‐opening
Abstract:A novel thermally stable and semiconducting polyheterocycle, poly( I ,3,4-oxadiazole amine), was synthesized from 2-(p-aminophenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazolin-5-one via ring-opening. The polymer is a new class of ordered alternating copoly(ani1ine) containing 1,3,4-oxadiazole heterocyclic units. The polymer is highly thermally stable and exhibits no weight loss up to 370°C in air.
