Synthesis and Characterization of Substituted Metal(II)-octa- MethoxyphenylImino Phthalocyanine Pigments

Abstract: The synthesis, spectral and magnetic susceptibility on symmetrically substituted metal (ΙΙ)-octa-methoxyphenyl imino phthalocyanine by condensing octa amino phthalocyanines with o-anisaldehyde are described. The dark green colour octa amino phthalocyanine derivatives were characterized by electronic, IR, elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, powder X-ray diffraction and thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA) studies to structural integrity, check the purity and crystalline properties of the pigments.
