Synthesis and Crystal Structure of the Iron(III) Oxotellurate(IV) Phosphate Oxide Chloride Fe11(TeO3)2(TeO4)3(PO4)2O4Cl3

Abstract: The new compound Fe11(TeO3)2(TeO4)3(PO4)2O4Cl3 containing FeIII and TeIV crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with the unit cell parameters a = 20.5816(5) Å, b = 26.7506(6) Å, c = 5.03910(10) Å, β = 93.587(2)o, Z = 4. Single crystals were grown in sealed and evacuated silica tubes at 550 °C. The compound exhibits an open framework structure built from [FeO6], [FeO5Cl], [FeO4Cl], [PO4], [TeO3], and [TeO4] polyhedra. The TeIV atoms adopt a one sided asymmetric coordination due to the stereochemically … Show more

“…[43] TeO 3 unit is only discovered in Na 3 Ca 4 (TeO 3 )(PO 4 ) 3 and Fe 11 (TeO 3 ) 2 (TeO 4 ) 3 (PO 4 ) 2 O 4 Cl 3 . [36,37] Besides, TeO x units can be also polymerized to multiple nuclear clusters, as evidenced by the case of Te The whole structure of Cd 3 (PO 4 )(TePO 6 ) is three-dimensional (3D) (Figure 1b). For the three types of structural units CdO 6 , TeO 4 , and PO 4 , CdÀ O bonds have the largest polarity and ionicity according to the electronegativity difference between these atoms.…”
