Synthesis and electrochemical characterization of a tridentate Schiff-base ligated Fe(II) complex

Abstract: The structural and electronic properties of an Fe(II) Schiff-base complex, [Fe(N 2 S) 2 ][ClO 4 ] 2 (N 2 S = 2-pyridyl-N-(2'-methylthiophenyl)methylenimine), are described and compared to an analogous Ni(II) species known to degrade to a H 2-evolving electrocatalytic film. Although structurally similar, the two complexes exhibit stark differences in their electrochemical and optical properties, and decompose via different pathways under reducing potentials. At potentials negative of the Fe(II/I) reduction wave… Show more

“…However a 111 In radiocomplex with the bis(thiosemicarbazone) (N-dimethyl substituted) was obtained in quantitative yields and in high purity, justifying stability assays. The 111 In complex was less stable than 67 Ga complex, though the similar uptake. The both complexes are lipophilic, but the 111 In complex (log P 2,66) presented better blood clearance.…”

“…Na última etapa desta tese, teve-se como objetivo a preparação de radiocomplexos de 67 Ga e 111 In com os ligantes desenvolvidos que se mostraram mais apropriados. Além de prepará-los, o objetivo foi avaliar as estabilidades in vitro e in vivo e realizar ensaios de biodistribuição e biocinética.…”
