Synthesis and Insecticidal Activity of New Quinoline Derivatives Containing Perfluoropropanyl Moiety

Abstract: A series of new quinoline derivatives containing perfluoropropanyl moiety were designed and synthesized. Their structures were confirmed by 1 H-NMR, MS, and elemental analysis. The bioassay results showed that compound 4e exhibited good insecticidal activity against Plutella xylostella and Mythimna separata at 100 mg/L.

“…In line with our work about the bioactive heterocyclic compounds , especially pyrazole compounds, they exhibited excellent nematicidal activity, fungicidal activity, and herbicidal activity. In our previous work, the urea containing trifluoromethyl pyrazole or methyl pyrazole motifs was synthesized.…”

“…Quinolines are an important class of heterocycles that are widely represented in natural products, 1 pharmaceuticals, biologically active substances, 2 agrochemicals, 3 functional materials, 4 organocatalysts or ligands, 5 and valuable intermediates. 6 Several quinoline derivatives such as chloroquine and cryptolepine (anti-malarial), 7 ciprofloxacin (antibacterial), 8 topotecan and camptothecin (anticancer), 9 dibucaine (local anesthetic), 10 and bedaquiline (anti-tubercular) 11 are widely used in clinics (Fig.…”
