“…While it is true that the effect of MA on Fe‐Nb alloys is the amorphization, there is no amorphous component in the diffractogram of the sample alloyed during 16 hours, in this case more milling time is needed for the amorphization of the alloy, and current MA begins with an ordered structure and not with elemental powders as has been reported by various authors . However, a comparison of the background of all XRD patterns allow to establish that for 32 hours there exists a small amorphous component, which is attributed to the high degree of disorder in the boundaries of the hcp grain and is favored by the MA as well as by the decrease in the grain size, for this reason it is only noticeable at 32 hours.…”
