“…BBO has been used to build optical parametric amplifiers, second and third harmonics generators, or tunable sources of polarization-entangled photon pairs. Luminescence in BBO material has been previously discussed in some papers [47][48][49]. These publications, however, focus on thermally stimulated luminescence [47,48] or impurities in BBO powders [49] and do not analyse luminescence in the context of noise in singlephoton generation.…”
