“…Fluorite-type Ba 1 − x La x F 2 + x was synthesized by high-energy ball milling of mixtures of BaF 2 and LaF 3 at ambient temperature and its ion conductivity was investigated in details [11]. Recent investigation indicated that Er 3+ ions were introduced into BaF 2 lattice and Ba 1 − x Er x F 2 + x solid solution was formed, which led to the enhancement the photoluminescence intensity of Er 3+ ions [12]. In the oxyfluoride glass ceramics, BaF 2 could be easily precipitated from the precursor glass and strong fluorescence emission of RE ions in the oxyfluoride glass ceramics was obtained [13].…”
