“…Among them, the peak position of FCNPs‐HE is slightly lower and the diffraction peak is wider; also, there are many hetero peaks, indicating that the size of the coal‐based FCNPs prepared by the H 2 O 2 etching method is larger than the FCNPs prepared by organic solvent extraction method and the mixed acid/ultrasonic oxidation method. Besides that, FCNPs‐HE contains aliphatics and minerals, and these are also higher than the other two samples , which is consistent with the TEM and EDS test results. It may be because that H 2 O 2 not only oxidizes and exfoliates the aromatic hydrocarbons in coal, and also oxidizes the aliphatics or ethers linked on them, and breaks these bonds, so that it exfoliates to the products with other inorganic particles.…”

“…Among them, the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons linked with aromatic small molecules was exfoliated and oxygen‐containing groups such as ─COOH or ─OH attached on them and these molecules dissolved in water to form coal‐based FCNPs dispersion with multilayered graphene sp 2 carbon fragment structure. In our previous work, we synthesized coal‐based FCNPs by H 2 O 2 etching method and combined with Cu 2 O and Ag, respectively. The as‐prepared composite photocatalysts exhibited excellent photocatalytic CO 2 reduction performance under the illumination of the visible light.…”

“…The fourth stage happened at near 551 C with a loss amount of 28.28%, corresponding to the condensation dehydrogenation of the aromatic structure into semicoke. 16 Above 600 C, there was 57.30% undecomposed remnant, which was made up of the graphitized carbon and a small amount of inorganic particles in NH 2 -CNPs. 26 The TG-DTG results further prove that the CNPs were successfully aminated.…”

“…12 The crystalline carbon regions are abundant and each crystalline carbon has the size of a quantum dot, suitable for obtaining CNPs by various methods. 13,14 In our previous study, [15][16][17] we prepared coal-based CNPs used HNO 3 pretreated coal samples from the Wucaiwan coalmine in Xinjiang, China. We stripped crystalline carbon from the coal by acid oxidation and hydrogen peroxide oxidation methods and linked oxygen-containing groups such as hydroxyl groups on the CNPs.…”
