“…In addition, core-shell phosphor materials are cheaper than pure phosphor materials, because silica is cheaper than phosphor materials in terms of unit mass. So far, some approaches that adopt silica as template have been used to fabricate core-shell structural rare earth orthophosphates (REPO 4 ), such as hydrothermal route [16] and sol-gel process [29,30]. However, they often suffer from the requirements of high temperature, tedious procedures and special additives.…”

“…This phenomenon leads to a decrease in the fluorescence emission intensity at higher concentrations of MPDMAPP doped PC composites. These are competing effects, where the increase in fluorescence emission up to 5 wt % is due to enhanced excitation rate but which is then offset by the quenching of the emission intensity at higher doping concentration . Hence, the increase in MPDMAPP doping in PC subsequently emits fluorescence with shift of 40 nm towards higher wavelength side in the green spectral region.…”

“…For the preparation of the core–shell structures, inverse micelle, double-jet precipitation, template-directed self-assembly, encapsulation of silica NPs by in situ polymerization, bioengineering, and biotemplate techniques are some of the techniques used. Yuan et al prepared BaTiO 3 /BaTiO 3 @SiO 2 ceramics with layered structure by tape-casting and lamination methods. They reported that by adding an additional SiO 2 layer, the electric field redistribution and the interface blocking effect increased the dielectric breakdown strength .…”
