“…The 2-(o-hydroxyphenyl)-benzoxazole and salicylidene-4-chloroaniline show strong and broad absorption band in the region 3420-3320 cm -1 due to hydrogen bonded OH stretching vibration (Dueke-Eze et al, 2011). This band was absent in the aluminium(III) complexes indicating the involvement of phenolic oxygen in the formation of metal-oxygen bond due to metallation of OH group (Dubey et al, 2011b). The strong intensity band observed in the region 1265-1248 cm -1 in the parent Schiff bases attribute to the phenolic C-O stretching vibration were shifted to higher frequency (Mishra and Singh, 2004) supporting the bonding through phenolic oxygen of the Schiff base to aluminium(III) atom, which was further supported by the appearance of new band in the region 733-680 cm -1 assignable to ν Al-O (Jain et al, 2006).…”

“…The QTOF LC-MS spectra of the complexes (1, 5 and 6) were recorded, and the fragmentation pattern (Schemes 2 and 3) with m/z have been suggested (Dubey et al, 2011b(Dubey et al, , 2014 for complexes 1 and 5. In the spectra of complexes 1 (Figure 2), 5 ( Figure 3) …”

“…The bands observed at 3450-3425 and 3510-3490 cm -1 is due to two coordinated water molecules. The bands observed far infrared region at 530-505 cm -1 due to (MN) linkage and 480-460 cm -1 for (MO) [17][18][19][20]. The central metal ions have eight co-coordinated numbers and ligand behaves as bidentate.…”

“…Schiff bases are prepared according to the procedure of El-Bayomi and his coworker (9) by mixing equimolar amounts of salicylaldehyde with primary amines after dissolving it in absolute ethanol then addition of the solution of amine to the aldehyde gradually with stirring, then refluxing the mixture for (2-6 hrs). The mixture was left to cool; the precipitate was filtered, washed with cold ethanol or methanol, then re-crystallized several times to yield a pure product.…”

“…In other study new complexes were synthesized from the reaction of Cr(III) with Schiff bases which result from the condensation of 2-amino pyridine with vaniline and salicylaldehyde, the complexes were identified spectroscopically and fond to be tetrahedral 9 .…”
