Synthesis and sensing application of highly luminescent and water stable polyaspartate functionalized LaF3nanocrystals

Abstract: Via a facile one-pot strategy, polyaspartate (PASP) coated LaF 3 :Ce 3+ /Tb 3+ luminescent nanocrystals have been successfully prepared. Based on the luminescence quenching of the PASP modified LaF 3 :Ce 3+ /Tb 3+ nanocrystals by Fe 3+ , a simple and novel luminescent chemosensor for Fe 3+ has been developed. High selectivity and sensitivity is observed over other cations, which is mainly attributed to the formation of a PASP-Fe 3+ complex on the NP surface. The luminescence of the suspensions was gradually qu… Show more

“…32. The obvious spectral overlap between the absorption spectrum of Fe 3 + ion and the excitation spectrum of Eu 0.47 Tb 0.53 -CTP-COOH was observed, suggesting that the excited energy can be effectively absorbed by Fe 3+ ion to decrease the energy transfer efficiency from ligand CTP-COOH to the Eu 3+ /Tb 3+ ions for the luminescent quenching 57 . The UV-Vis spectra of other metal ions in aqueous solution showed only slight overlap with the excitation spectrum of Eu 0.47 Tb 0.53 -CTP-COOH.…”

“…On the other hand, carbonbased anode materials having a relatively higher initial capacity and lower voltage than the cathodes have been typically utilized in lithium ion batteries as anodes. [9][10][11][12][13] Recently, transition metal oxides, such as Cu 2 O, NiO, SnO 2 , and TiO 2 , are regarded as alternative anodes of carbon-based materials with a low production cost, high abundance, nontoxicity, and high capacity. 14,15 Among diverse transition metal oxides, In the lithiation/delithiation process with Cu 2 O as an anode, the Cu nanocrystals that form upon lithiation are dispersed in a Li 2 O matrix and restored to the oxide upon delithiation.…”

“…Not surprisingly, during the charging process, lithium ions transfer from the cathode to the anode through the electrolyte. [7][8][9] The structure of the secondary battery is illustrated in Fig. 1.…”
