Abstract:Synthesis, physical and spectral characterization of a symmetric N 2 -donor Schiff base ligand of bis(3(4-dimethylaminophenyl)-2-prop-1-enylydene)-1,2-diaminoethane and its new mercury(II) halide/thiocyanate complexes are reported. The entire compounds were studied by elemental analyses, FT-IR, UV-Visible, 1 H and 13 NMR spectra, melting point, and molar conductivity measurements.
