Synthesis and Spectroscopic Characterization of Blue Copper Model Schiff Base Complexes
Abstract:Low molecular weight, low symmetric complexes simulating blue copper protein have been prepared by a reaction between salicylidene-4-aminoantipyrinyl-2-imino pyridine and metal salts. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivity, magnetic susceptibility data, IR, 1 H NMR, UV-Vis, FAB-Mass and EPR spectral studies. The physicochemical studies and spectral data indicate that the ligand acts as a monovalent tridentate chelating agent. All the complexes have the general composition ML… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
