Synthesis and Structure of Bis(3,3′-diamino-N-methyldipropylamine)-dichlorodi(μ-chloro)dinickel

Abstract: The reaction of 3,3`-diamino-N-methyldipropylamine with an adduct of nickel chloride with dimethoxyethane gave a binuclear bridged complex, bis(3,3`-diamino-N-methyldipropylamine)dichlorodi(mchloro)dinickel, in 40% yield. The structure of bis(3,3`-diamino-N-methyldipropylamine)dichlorodi(m-chloro)-dinickel was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
