Semiconductors D 8000Synthesis and Transport Properties of Solid Solutions Sr1-xKxPbO3-yFy (0 ≤ x, y ≤ 0.20). -The title solid solutions are synthesized by solid state reaction of Sr(NO3)2, KF, and PbO (Al crucible, air, 900°C, 48 h) and characterized by powder XRD, resistivity, and thermoelectric power measurements. The simultaneous substitution of K for Sr and F for O results in a transformation of conductivity from semiconductive to metallic at low temperatures. It is suggested that further investigation of fluorinated plumbates may reveal good conductors and, probably, superconductors with low charge-carrier densities. -(DROZD*, V. O.; GABOVICH, A.
