Abstract:Mannich bases are interesting class of molecules thanks to their various pharmacological properties. This paper presents the synthesis and characterization of eugenol derivatives following Mannich condensation. The in vitro antituberculosis activity of the synthesized derivatives was evaluated by the Resazurin microtiter assay (REMA). The 2,2′‐diphenyl‐1‐picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical scavenging and ferrous cation (FeCl2) chelating tests were used to estimate the antioxidant capacity. All eugenol Mannich b… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
