Synthesis, characterization and dielectric investigation of ZnO-doped polyaniline nanocomposites

Abstract: Polyaniline (PANI) synthesized through the in situ polymerization method and its composites with zinc oxide nanoparticles loaded in various weight percentages were studied. The formation of PANI and its composites was characterized using different characterizing tools, and detailed analysis was done to investigate the structural and morphological properties of the composites. The presence of the vibration band of the metal oxide and other characteristic bands of the composites, as characterized via Fourier tra… Show more

“…II-VI semiconductor nanoparticles, which can be regarded as quantum confined materials are presently of great interest due to their unique size-dependent electronic, magnetic, optical, and electrochemical properties [12,13]. In the past, several authors have reported the synthesis of PANI composites using nano fillers such as ZnO, CdS, PbO, Pd, and so forth [14][15][16][17][18]. Recently, cadmium sulfide (CdS) has gained prominence in the preparation of nanocomposites based on PANI due to its diverse applications in optoelectronics both as photosensitive and photovoltaic device such as light emitting diodes, photodiodes, solar cells, and so forth [19][20][21].…”
