Synthesis, Characterization and Photocatalytic Activity of CoFe2O4/Fe2O3 Dispersed in Mesoporous KIT-6

Abstract: The present work aimed to synthesize and characterize a solid based on CoFe2O4/Fe2O3-KIT-6 and evaluate its performance in the photocatalytic degradation of the remazol red ultra RGB dye. By analyzing XRD, N2 physisorption, and Mössbauer results, it was possible to identify that the desired CoFe2O4/Fe2O3 phase was achieved, which maintained its structural properties. The FTIR-pyridine indicated the presence of Lewis acid sites, while TPD-CO2 showed a large amount of weak basic sites. The band-gap energy indica… Show more

“…First, the chosen KIT-6 has a three-dimensional (3D) two-helix structure containing a long-range and highly ordered pore with uniform and suitable size of 7 to 11 nm, a large specific surface area, as well as most important thermostability, which can ensure precisely confined growth of NCs with uniform size and quantum confinement regime. 33,34 Secondly, a general hot-injection process is adopted to ensure CsPbX 3 precursors embedded in uniform pores grow into highquality CsPbX 3 NCs in situ. Organic ligands and matrix encapsulation play a dual protective role to avoid the damage of NCs by the external environment.…”

“…Herein, we report a novel encapsulation strategy to synthesize monodispersed, highly luminescent, and stable full‐color CsPbX 3 NCs in MS of KIT‐6 via a simple one‐step solution method.
