Synthesis, characterization, kinetic study and glass fibre‐reinforced composites of solid diglycidylether of bisphenol‐S

Abstract: A solid diglycidylether of bisphenol‐S was prepared. The curing reactions of this resin were studied kinetically by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) using 4,4′‐diaminodiphenylmethane (DDM), 4,4′‐diaminodiphenyl sulfone (DDS) or dicyanodiamide (DICY) as curing agents. The activation energies of the curing reactions range within 60.3–87.6 kJ mol−1. The thermal stability of the cured products was studied by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).
