Abstract:Recently studied N-(β-d-glucopyranosyl)-3-aryl-1,2,4-triazole-5-carboxamides have proven to be low micromolar inhibitors of glycogen phosphorylase (GP), a validated target for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
