“…It should be noted that T g1 of PDMS was not obvious in S1, which was presumably due to the relatively lower PDMS content in the copolymer S1 and the relatively restricted movement of the PAPOSS blocks. Similar results have been previously reported that the detection of T g1 in the DSC curves was related to the content of PDMS in the block copolymers [28,29]. Apart from S1, the T g3 values of POSS in S2 and S3 were 84.4 • C and 82.4 • C, respectively, with each about 20 • C higher than that of S1.…”

“…Surface‐modified oxidatively stable and hydrophobic (water, θ = 103°) (pentablock) PDMS/P n BA/PMMA copolymer containing 11, 58, and 31 wt% of PDMS, P n BA, and PMMA, respectively, was employed for the preparation of Au–Ag NCs (containing various amounts of Au and Ag). The copolymer was synthesized by atom‐transfer radical polymerization . The main advantage of use of (pentablock) PDMS/P n BA/PMMA /Au–Ag NC over (pentablock) PDMS/P n BA/PMMA copolymer/Ag NCs is that the toxicity of the former NC is expected to be less than the toxicity of the later NC owing to better cytocompatibility of Au NPs than that of Ag NPs and relatively lower amount of Ag present in the (pentablock) PDMS/P n BA/PMMA /Au–Ag NC.…”

“…Figure shows the variation of θ with the increased mole fraction of Au salt used for the preparation of NCs. The neat (pentablock) PDMS/P n BA/PMMA copolymer ( θ = 103°) surface is more hydrophobic in nature compared to fully poly(meth)acrylate‐based triblock copolymer ( θ = 90°) owing to preferential surface coverage by the oxidatively stable PDMS in the former copolymer . (Pentablock) PDMS/P n BA/PMMA /Au–Ag NCs exhibited relatively lower θ values compared to neat (pentablock) PDMS/P n BA/PMMA copolymer and the effect was more pronounced with increased amount of Au in the NCs.…”

“…In the previous study, the block copolymer of PDMS and poly( n ‐butyl acrylate) was synthesized. The block copolymer showed its glass transition around 120 °C . In another study, a polystyrene‐ b ‐PDMS‐ b ‐polystyrene triblock copolymer with the melting point above 200 °C was synthesized .…”
