Synthesis of 3D Silver-Graphene-Titanium Dioxide Composite via Aerosol Spray Pyrolysis for Sensitive Glucose Biosensor

Abstract: A sensitive glucose biosensor was developed based on the adsorption of glucose oxidase by a three-dimensional silvergraphene-titanium dioxide (3D Ag-GR-TiO 2 ) composite electrode. Aerosol spray pyrolysis was employed to synthesize the 3D Ag-GR-TiO 2 composite using a colloidal mixture of a silver acetate precursor (C 2 H 3 AgO 2 ), graphene oxide, and TiO 2 nanoparticles. The effects of the operating temperature, gas flowrate, and TiO 2 concentration on the particle properties were investigated. The particle … Show more

“…Kim et al explored the role of graphene and reviewed its application as a glucose biosensor [64]. More recently, the same group synthesized silver-graphene-titanium dioxide nanocomposites used as a glucose biosensor [65]. Upon a review of the literature, the synthesis of metal oxide nanostructures for application in amperometric glucose sensors is limited but offers great potential, specifically as nonenzymatic sensors become more prevalent.…”

“…Jang et al [66] developed a sensitive glucose biosensor using a three-dimensional silver-graphene-titanium dioxide (3D Ag-Gr-TiO 2 ) composite electrode. A colloidal mixture of a silver acetate precursor (C 2 H 3 AgO 2 ), graphene oxide, and TiO 2 nanoparticles was prepared by an aerosol spray pyrolysis method to synthesize the 3D Ag-Gr-TiO 2 composite.…”

“…Диоксид титана TiO 2 является одним из наиболее изученных полупроводников благодаря высокой перспективности его применения в фотокатализе, фотовольтаических элементах и газовых сенсорах [8][9][10]. Диоксид титана с шириной запрещенной зоны 3.2 eV чувствителен к свету с длинами волн ниже 380 nm.…”
