Abstract:A series of thiazolidinone derivatives with various aromatic aldehyde substitution were synthesized and characterized by physical (TLC and M.P.) and spectral data (IR, NMR and MASS). They were evaluated for antimicrobial potential against Gram positive Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, gram-negative Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeuroginosa, Shigella and fungi Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger.
