Abstract:Synthesis of Aryl Perfluoroalkyl Sulfides from Aromatic Disulfides. -Thermolysis of xenon(II) perfluoroalkylcarboxylates, generated in situ from carboxylic acids (I), in the presence of diaryl disulfides provides the corresponding perfluoroalkyl sulfides (III), (V) and (VII) in moderate yields. A wide variety of side products is obtained, but they can be isolated only in a few cases. -(SIPYAGIN*, A. M.; ENSHOV, V. S.; KASHTANOV, S. A.; POTEMKIN, V. A.; THRASHER, J. S.; WATERFELD, A.; Russ.
