Abstract:This work is related to the synthesis of silver-doped bioactive glass material 60SiO2-33CaO-4P2O5-3Ag2O by the modified sol-gel method based on hydrothermal reaction. Several physical-chemical methods such as TG-DSC, XRD, SEM, and TEM were used to evaluate the synthetic bioglass. TG-DSC shows that the processing temperature to form bioglass from dried gel is at 600 oC. XRD confirms the formation of silver crystalline phase on the amorphous phase of glass.
