Synthesis of Carbon Nanotubes Using Azerbaijan’s Oil

Abstract: Distillate fractions of Azerbaijan's oil-gasoline, jet fuel and diesel were tested as a raw material for producing carbon nanotubes. Aerosol CVD technique was employed at atmospheric and low pressures and ferrocene was used as a catalyst. It is shown that at atmospheric pressures carbon nanotubes were formed only from a gasoline fraction.
