“…The peak located at 163.5 eV in CoS/NC related to the existence of C−S−C species, indicating that a certain amount of sulfur is doped into the lattice of the carbon matrix . Four peaks located at 284.2, 284.8, 285.4, and 286.4 eV in Figure e can be clearly observed, corresponding to C=C−C, C−S, C−N/O and C−O−C/C=O bonds, respectively ,,. The C−S and C−N bonds might be attributed to the partial replacement of C atom with S and N atoms in the hybrid .…”

“…Comparing the performance of Ru‐MoS 2 /CL with other MoS 2 ‐based catalysts, it still outperformed many other catalysts since Ru‐MoS 2 /CL was located in the lower left corner of the diagram with low Tafel slope and overpotential at 10 mA cm −2 (Figure , Supporting Information). “…37,41 The other two peaks found at 233.5 and 235.13 eV are analogous to Mo 3d5/2 and Mo 3d3/2 which implies the partial oxidation of Mo(IV) to Mo(VI) in air. 30,42 Figure 4B shows Co 2p spectra in which the two distinct peaks at 782.4 and 798.8 eV represents Co 2p 3/2 and Co 2p 1/2 respectively for Co(II). 43,44 Two satellite peaks at 786.22 and 802.5 eV concerning the main peaks for Co 2p 3/2 and Co 2p 1/2 are also observed.…”
