Synthesis of g-Bi2MoO6 by Co-precipitation Method and Evaluation for Photocatalytic Degradation of Rhodamine B, Crystal Violet and Orange II Dyes Under Visible Light Irradiation

Abstract: γ-Bismuth molybdate (γ-Bi2MoO6) catalyst has been successfully synthesized by co-precipitation method and followed by calcination using stoichiometry ratio of bismuth nitrate, nitric acid, ammonium molybdate as precursor materials. The synthesized γ-Bi2MoO6 nanoparticles characterized by X-ray diffraction for identifying crystalline phases and particle size, Raman spectroscopy identifies active species during the reaction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy is to identify adsorbed species and to study the… Show more

“…21-0102 and previous publication. 41 Diffraction peaks at 2 θ of 11.01, 28.35, 33.07, 36.2, 46.73, 55.5, and 58.6° correspond to the crystal planes of (020), (111), (060), (151), (202), (133), and (262), respectively. The characteristic peaks of ZIF-8 appear unclear with major diffraction peaks observed at 2 θ of 7.35, 10.5, 13.03, 16.4, and 18.1°, corresponding to the crystal planes of (110), (200), (211), (310), and (222), respectively.…”
